John Fuller
John E. Fuller was born Oct. 10, 1928. Fuller was raised mostly by his three half-sisters in Orlando, Fla. His initial venture into real estate in Denver was through Conway Bogue Realty and, in 1955, he founded Fuller and Company (now Fuller Real Estate), which has become one of Colorado’s premier firms.
Built from humble beginnings, Fuller Real Estate and its subsidiaries now employ about 300 people and had $1.5 billion in sales in 2005. Its subsidiaries include Fuller Town and Country (residential), Fuller Western Real Estate (ranch and recreational), Fuller Property Management Services and NIA Global (global real estate).
In addition to Fuller’s real estate successes, he is committed to the Denver community and serves on many boards and advisory committees. Fuller is especially proud of his service as former board chair of the Denver Board of Realtors and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
A number of years ago, The Fuller Family Foundation was formed for philanthropic purposes. Eventually, the foundation became part of The Denver Foundation and is now known as The Fuller Family Fund of the Denver Foundation. The primary focus of the foundation’s charitable giving is to human and social services, as well as artistic organizations, in the Denver area.
Fuller met his late wife, Shirley Simmons, while attending high school in Coldwater, Mich. They were married in 1948, moved to Colorado and had five children. In addition to his children, he has 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In 1970, Fuller married Jeannie Smith Kimball. John and Jeannie have recently celebrated their 36th anniversary. Fuller remains active in the community and in the real estate industry as a director and advisor to the Fuller Family Fund of The Denver Foundation, Fuller Real Estate, Fuller Western Real Estate and the Denver Police Foundation.
