Del Hock
D. D. (Del) Hock was the retired chairman and chief executive officer of Public Service Company of Colorado. A native Coloradoan, Mr. Hock received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Colorado.
He began his business career with the General Electric Company in 1956. In 1962, he started his career with Public Service Company of Colorado as director of auditing. He was elected President and Chief Executive Officer in 1988 and Chairman of the Board in 1989. He stepped down as President in 1994 and as Chief Executive Officer in 1996. He continued as Chairman of the Board until August 1997, when he retired.
In addition to consulting in energy and other business areas, Mr. Hock served as lead director of Allied Motion Technologies, Inc., director and chairman of Summit Utilities, Inc., and director of Wagner Equipment Company. He was a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Hock served as General Campaign Chairman for Mile High United Way, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Colorado Symphony Association, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, director of the Rocky Mountain Electrical League, chairman of the Colorado Public Expenditure Council, and chairman of the Board of Directors of Lutheran Medical Center.
He was also a board member of the Denver Foundation, Colorado State Board of Agriculture, the Committee for Economic Development, the Metro Denver Network Board of Governors, the Western Stock Show Association, the Economic Club of Colorado, the Public Education and Business Coalition, the University of Colorado Foundation, the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry, and the Western Regional Council.
