Myron "Micky" Miller
Micky Miller is Co-Chairman of Miller Global Properties and has been involved in real estate since 1969. His experience has included developing, acquiring, and managing over 50 million square feet of buildings, including mixed-use projects, high-rise offices, suburban offices, hotels, ski and golf resorts, and various land ventures. Companies under his direction have been involved in real estate development/ownership in over 40 cities and six countries.
Micky, with his son Jim, formed Miller Properties Group in 1993. The following year, they joined with Philip Anschutz to form Miller-Anschutz Properties. In 1996, Micky and his company formed Miller Global Properties, a partnership with Global Diversification Corp. (the Ofer Family), which has been involved in more than 80 properties representing 12 million square feet of office space and 3,300 hotel rooms.
From 1955 through 1968, Micky was in the private practice of law specializing in real estate, corporate, and general business law. During that time, he conceptualized, created, and then coordinated a joint venture to annex, zone, and develop a 2,900-acre tract of land adjacent to the City of Denver owned by his extended family. The property, now known as Montbello, is estimated at over 30,000 people today.
In January 1978, Micky formed Miller-Davis Co., a partnership with Marvin Davis that later became Miller-Klutznick-Davis-Gray Co. (MKDG), which co-developed in downtown Denver the 50-story 1801 California (Qwest Building), the MCI Building, the Johns Manville Building, and the Wells Fargo Tower. This complex created more than 3 million square feet of office space, 3,500 parking spaces, and the largest outdoor privately developed office plaza in downtown Denver.
Miller has been involved with and served on several business and non-profit boards, including the University of Denver, Rose Community Foundation, National Jewish Health, Shalom Park, and the Denver Nuggets Basketball, Inc.
